In order to achieve this objective, the company has organized a pageant to be staged under the theme “Ms Thick and Lovely National Pageant” or Ms T&L. This pageant is aimed primarily at showcasing “plus sized” women, young and old alike, who can, will and have made a positive commitment to embracing lifestyle habits that reduce their risk of cardiovascular disease, HIV, unwanted pregnancies and a host of preventable diseases. Founded by Kymm Barnett in early 2003, the Ms Thick & Lovely National Pageant aggressively tackles the leading causes of death amongst women in the United States. Cardiovascular disease, HIV and a host of others; that could be avoided through the power of knowledge and learning before it’s too late. Current statistics translates to 1 in 4 women die today, because they did not know what to look for, or know about prevention.

Our Purpose is to educate the women of tomorrow, by giving them a positive direction for a life of quality, health and happiness.

In the observation of young women today coping with peer pressure, low-self esteem and being full figured; just to name a few obstacles in their lives. They find themselves in life altering encounters, changing the course of their future and forfeiting their dreams. These situations give our youth, nothing to work for and nothing to look forward to. Starting with self; we intend to get these ladies interested in good, safe, healthy life practices; so they will move into a future of greatness. Teaching them how to recognize, change habits and break away from things that kill them and their futures.
