A
Bit About The Company
K.Y.M.M.
Inc. or the “Company” is a not for profit organization
that seeks to promote healthy living among women in today’s
society. In order to achieve this objective, the company has organized
a pageant to be staged under the theme “Ms Thick and Lovely
National Pageant” or Ms T&L. This pageant is aimed primarily
at showcasing “plus sized” women, young and old alike,
who can, will and have made a positive commitment to embracing lifestyle
habits that reduce their risk of cardiovascular disease, HIV, unwanted
pregnancies and a host of preventable diseases.
According to the latest statistics available on cardiovascular disease,
38% of women who had a recognized heart attack; die within a year.
The severity of this statistic is made even more poignant when coupled
with the fact that 64% of women who die suddenly from coronary heart
disease had no previous symptoms. These alarming statistics highlights
an upward trend in mortality rates from nutritional related diseases
and suggests that the methods being used to disseminate information
are losing their effectiveness. Hence, the company was formed to
provide an alternative medium to raise public awareness about healthy
living, and to provide a forum for women to speak out about the
role that nutrition plays in their lives. K.Y.M.M. Inc., with its
multitude of connections in the entertainment and business arenas
is uniquely poised to meet this challenge since its service is targeted
to reach a very diverse segment of the at risk population. Starting
with our youth, we can create a new trend of life long prevention
habits.
The company’s service will be introduced into two distinct
markets, namely the regional and national markets. Currently, the
regional market, which consists of the SE states that extend from
Florida to Virginia, represents the launch market for the company’s
inaugural event, the Miss Thick & Lovely Youth Pageant 2007.
This event hopes be televised across the east coast that will provide
the marketing exposure the company needs for its expansion into
the NE in 2008 for its sophomore event
The value proposition to the sponsoring organizations and the contestants
is significant. In keeping with its mission as an educational organization,
the company will produce literature for distribution as part of
the preparation of the contestants, and to guests at the event.
As one of the beneficiaries, the American Heart Association will
receive a generous donation from the proceeds. In addition, the
company will provide other charities with donations. The company
will also provide advertising opportunities for sponsors in the
literature being developed for public distribution. With respect
to the pageant contestants, tangible prizes as well as educational
scholarships will be provided through donations of sponsors.
